About
The Full Story
After retirement, writing a single novel was at the top of my bucket list. A year later, a publisher accepted my debut thriller, Human Strays in December 2020 and published it in 2021. Family Curse followed in 2022, and The Red Flock was released in 2023. In 2024, I wrote a prequel, expanding the Angel of Mercy series to four books. A fifth book in the series, The Coroner's Table, is planned for late in 2025. In the meantime, I am finishing a stand-alone novel, Bless Me Father, For YOU Have Sinned, a psychological thriller.
Writing novels is infectious—a happy condition my fellow writers and I share. In fact, I joined six other authors to write Passage to Murder, a Prohibition era mystery set in San Francisco.
I graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a degree in journalism, and worked for seven years as a reporter. Most of that time, my 'beat' included covering police, fire, and criminal justice. A long career in public relations followed.
My pastimes include photography, camping, and short getaways in the San Francisco Bay Area and along the California Coast. I'm also a light keeper at the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse in Mendocino, where the TV shows Murder She Wrote, East of Eden, and others were filmed.

Mission
Each one of my novels is built around a theme: Angel of Mercy (death with dignity), Human Strays (the tragedy of homelessness), Family Curse (intergenerational violence), and The Red Flock (saving disappearing species).
Vision
Everyone deserves dignity in life and in death.
